Safeguarding and Health & Safety
Safeguarding
Safeguarding means preventing harm to children and adults at risk by protecting them from abuse or neglect. The Parish of Pentyrch and Capel Llanilltern is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life, mission and ministry. We have appointed a Safeguarding Officer who works to promote the well being of children and adults in our Parish,. For full details of how safeguarding is applied, please see the Safeguarding Policies on the Church In Wales Website.
If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical attention, please call the emergency services now on 999 – DO NOT DELAY. If you think that a child or adult is at risk of harm but is not in immediate danger, please call the Local Authority social services department.
Health & Safety
We take the health and safety of our parishioners seriously. Regular checks are carried out on all three Churches and the Parish Hall, to ensure that there are no hazards and they are safe for people to use. When a potential risk is identified, it is placed on our Risk Register and acted upon. Our Parochial Church Council receive regular reports on the progress of any remedial action required and collaboratively work to ensure any issue is resolved.
