Archived Marriages & Christenings

As time moves on and record books are filled up with historical Christenings and Marriages, they are sent to the Glamorgan Archives for posterity. We keep copies of the Parish records and the Vicar is going to make these available for people who are researching their ancestry.

Making this data accessible is a project which will start in the New Year (2021). In addition, some mapping has been done of the Churchyard burials and it is planned that this information is also made available— there is still more work to be done to put this in an easily readable format, but we will hopefully get this delivered in the near future.

As work progresses and data becomes available, we will post it via this page.

The Parish of Pentyrch and Capel Llanilltern is a simple, joyful and inclusive Christian community. The worship, prayer and events we offer reflect our love of Jesus and all God’s people, near and far. Whatever your background, whatever you may be feeling, however often or infrequently, we would love you to join us.

“See I have written your name on the palm of my hands” Isaiah 49:16

CHURCH SERVICES

In our Parish we work hard to think creatively about our worship, so that it can hold the traditional and modern in a wonderful balance, thereby igniting a sense of God’s grace, joy and hope amongst us all.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Mark 11:24
